Dr. Chen is Professor and Chairman of the Department of Atmospheric Sciences, National Taiwan University. Dr. Chen also serves as the member of the International Commission on Cloud and Precipitation, as well as member of the Information Technology Committee of the American Geophysical Union. He was an editor of the journal "Terrestrial, Atmospheric and Oceanic Sciences" (TAO), and an associate editor of the Chinese journal "Atmospheric Sciences". His major research interests include studies of cloud and aerosol microphysics, air pollution, and cloud-aerosol-climate interactions by using regional and global models, as well as ground and satellite observation data.
