Randall Martin, Dalhousie University, Canada
IGAC SSC member

email: randall.martin (at) dal.ca

Dr. Martin is an Assistant Professor in the Dept. of Physics and Atmospheric Science at Dalhousie University (Halifax, Canada). He is currently also a research associate at the Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics. His background is in atmospheric chemistry and satellite remote sensing. His expertise is in satellite remote sensing of tropospheric trace gases, and development of a global chemical transport model to interpret observations. His research has focused on improving satellite retrievals of tropospheric nitrogen dioxide, formaldehyde and ozone; on quantitatively interpreting satellite and in situ observations to improve emissions inventories from biogenic and anthropogenic sources; on understanding processes affecting tropical tropospheric ozone; on aerosol-chemistry interaction; and on long-range transport.
