Graciela Binimelis de Raga, Universidad Nacional Autonoma de Mexico, Mexico

Dr. Raga is a Senior Research Scientist at the Center for Atmospheric Sciences at the Universidad Nacional Autonoma de Mexico (CCA-UNAM). Her background is in atmospheric sciences, having completed undergraduate studies at the Universidad de Buenos Aires, Argentina, and a PhD from the University of Washington, USA. Her research interests throughout the years have focused on aerosol-cloud interactions and cloud dynamics. A large fraction of the recent research efforts were devoted to the characterization and modelling of the air pollution in Mexico City due to aerosol particles. She is currently the head of the Micro-Mesoscale Interactions Group at CCA-UNAM. She has been a member of the International Comission on Clouds and Precipitation for the last 6 years and is the chair of the local organizing committee for the next international meeting in Mexico in 2008. She is currently in the Lead Author Team of the Working Group I for the 4th Assessment Report of the Intergubermental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC).
